Another one down, picked the Counter height stools

That was surprisingly easy,  I needed comfortable counter height chair like stools for the kids to do homework and people to sit at the island..  Now lets hope they show up, Crate and Barrel keeps moving out the date, I need them the first week of July, we'll see!

Faucet change in plan..

Turns out the one I had picked is too big (it's MASSIVE), glad I figured that out before it showed up...

So here's the new one I picked with it's matching soap dispenser.

And here is the soap dispenser:

I love the look of them,  Will look great with the angles on the sink..

T-16.. Almost there

Demolition starts on May 28, the day after we come back from vacation.. Until then, we have to finish packing up the first floor (since we are doing the floors) so it's a lot of fun (NOT!) Already have packing over 20 boxes and the kitchen is far from empty but the office is almost done.

So I'm hoping they are done quickly with the floors so we can get the stuff back in place in the other rooms at least while the kitchen is coming together, it's going to be a mess for a while that's for sure.

Still need to line up the painter, order the appliances and pick a backsplash tile...

The pendants have been purchased

Another one of these difficult decisions made!

I got these pendants

I think they will be a perfect fit for the space, case in point with the picture below from houzz..
it looks so much like our space!

Another cool idea that I'm super excited about

So back to the oh so exciting Induction cooktop..

We decided to go Induction for many reasons.  More efficient than gas, easier to clean, more counter space... So to take the no counter space story up a notch, I checked with our kitchen designer to see if we could flush mount the cooktop, what's that you say?  Check it out below...

Since we'll have very dark brown counters, it will basically disappear in the countertop for a full seamless look.

Can't wait to see it all come together!

The faucet.. Who knew is would be that hard to find one!

So I finally settled on a faucet...

Here it is, in all it's glory :-)  Now I just hope it shows up on time, it's backorder but should ship June 1.

Since I decided against a faucet with the motion sense in it, I still wanted a way to turn on the water without having to touch the faucet with dirty hands.. So here comes, the Tapmaster model 1775.  It's a simple device that lets you start the water with your foot without having to touch the faucet, problem solved!

The samples are here!!!

We are 24 days away from the beginning of the process!  I wonder if I'll have time to finish boxing up the first floor.  The really is the worst part of this project, since we are redoing the floors, we need to get everything out of the first floor.  Not sure where we are going to put everything either but we'll get there.

The exciting story this week is that the samples have arrived, we have samples of the walnut, the color of the white cabinets and the two granites.

Here they are:

Top left: Island granite --> Blanco Antico is the name
Bottom left: Color of the white cabinets
Top right: Perimeter and appliance garage granite  --> Antique Brown in leathered finish (it's matte)
Bottom right: Walnut door with a chocolate oil finish for the island

Walnut door with a chocolate oil finish for the island, Shaker style door.

Granite and walnut cabinet will go together.

Antique Brown and white cabinets will go together.

It looks beautiful, I'm SO excited!
